Mihad Fahmy regularly appears before grievance arbitrators and arbitration boards on behalf of unions. She handles grievances on all matters concerning the interpretation and application of collective agreements including discipline and dismissal, health and safety, human rights and union policy grievances. Mihad has represented unions in a variety of sectors including colleges, health care, and the public and broader public sector.

Mihad also regularly represents unions and their members at mediation, exploring creative resolution options that meet their priorities and goals. She supports unions in assisting employees navigate the mediation and grievance arbitration system, and prepares them for all steps involved in the hearing process.

In addition to representing unions at mediation and grievance arbitration, Mihad provides advice and consultation to unions and labour organizations with respect to their duties under the Human Rights Code, and regularly speaks on labour and human rights related topics.
